UNIDIRECTIONAL MECHANICAL OSCILLATORS

Operating principle

The picture shows the eccentric masses (in red) mounted on a pair of shafts in counter-rotation.
The pair of gears connecting the two shafts guarantees synchronism.
The gears are protected by a spheroidal cast iron casing (the outline is shown in the drawing). On the sides of the casing, there are four bearings designed especially for vibrating machinery.
The casing  base  is suitable for the assembly on  any vibrating equipment.
The variation of moment is created by modifying the weight of the eccentric masses with inserts (in lead or steel, as in the drawing of the “SL” version) or with specific semilunar plates in steel (“S” version).
One of the two shafts must be connected to the motor with cardan joint or elastic joint.

The range

We’ve created two families of oscillators to satisfy our clients various requirements:

The “S” Version: provides maximum flexibility in the choice of the optimal static moment for a specific application.
The bearings have a very high duration to guarantee that maintenance is held to a minimum.

The “SL” Version: no compromise on performance with a maximum static moment of over 100,000 Kg mm with a centrifugal force of 65,000 Kg.
Each size is designed to offer the highest static moment compatible with a high  bearing life.
In addition to these versions, there are also specific models developed on request from clients:

The “LTC” Version: created to withstand extremely low temperatures, certified for as low as -50°C. Each individual component was designed and tested for these temperatures.

The “SP” Version: designed to guarantee the highest reliability at very high temperatures, over 80°C. Equipped with an internal heat exchanger and external cooling liquid circuit.

The “OS” Version: equipped with a special seal system for particularly aggressive or dusty environments.

Performance and dimensions

The standard model “WD 300 S” has a moment exceeding 100,000 Kg mm, which allows us to reach very high performance levels with the possibility of operating extremely large vibrating equipment. The following table shows the details:
